About us
The Young Researchers in Ancient History (YRAH) of the Complutense University of Madrid is a group of doctoral researchers with competitive grants from the Spanish Ministry of Education, the Regional Government of Madrid or the Complutense University itself. We conduct our research and teaching assignments in the Department of Prehistory, Ancient History and Archaeology (Section of Ancient History) at the Faculty of Geography and History.
The first ones in Spain
The Meeting of Young Researchers in Ancient History (MYRAH) of the Complutense University of Madrid has been bringing together young promising researchers in History, Archaeology, and the Ancient World from all over Spain and Europe every year since 2002.
In this edition "Materiality, Ritual, and Community in Antiquity" we will have two keynote lectures that will illustrate recent trends in the analysis of rituals and society through the prism of its materiality. We hope that many young researchers (mainly MA students, doctoral and postdoctoral researchers) will contribute to the debate on such a broad, lively topic with so many possibilities.
We look forward to seeing you ONLINE on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of October 2023!
Note: participation in the MYRAH is free of charge.
